About this tool

The Pomodoro Technique uses timed work blocks (usually 25 minutes) followed by short breaks. This tool lets you run those cycles in your browser so you can stay on task without watching the clock.

You choose how long to work and how long to break. Many people find that knowing a break is coming makes it easier to concentrate during the work block. Use it for study, writing, or any task that benefits from uninterrupted focus.

No account is needed. Open the page, set your times, and start. Your sessions stay in your browser; we don't store your data.

How to use

  • Step 1: Set your work and break lengths

Use the controls to choose your work interval (e.g. 25 minutes) and break length (e.g. 5 minutes). You can stick to the classic 25/5 or pick times that suit you.

  • Step 2: Start the timer and focus

Press start when you begin your task. Work until the timer rings. Avoid switching to other tabs or tasks during the work block.

  • Step 3: Take a break when the timer rings

When the work block ends, stop and take your break. Stand, stretch, or step away from the screen. When the break timer ends, start the next work block if you have more to do.
